Kudos
for your excellent Epiphany 1997 edition of Let’s Talk! Read every word
of it, which is saying a lot for someone often caught in a paper blizzard.
As an
ELCA deaconess serving as a counselor and spiritual director I especially
appreciated Jack Finney’s excellent article, “Taking Time for the Soul.” In
this time of artificial urgency, it was good to read such a down-to-earth
article about the need for committing oneself to taking the time for one’s spiritual
health and well-being.
I have
been so impressed with the inclusivity of LT in terms of lay and ordained
writers, and the balance of men and women represented as authors as well as
your respect for inclusive language. (Don’t know about multicultural
inclusivity.)
I have
been looking forward to the edition of LT on “Spirituality and Spiritualities.

reverse article of Judith Rae Swanson’s article, i.e., what does a pastor(s) really
want and expect of laity?
